APP DESIGN
ROUTE MAP
CONCEPT
TYPES OF INTERFACE
In my design for the app, I would like to use a theme. A recurring visual element to tie everything together. In my last major project (1.1 publication), I used the "hand" as a theme. So to continue the theme, I'd like to use the "eyes".
1: One of the inspiration for this, is the concept of "eye workout". This set of routine done with the eyes aims to help people from tired eyes. Our user group, the first responders, often work through the night and my thought process was to use this in my design, to help them from fatigue. However, I decided to not go through with this idea as I have too many concepts and ideas I wanted to play around with.
2: The "eye ball" is often related to psyche in design (as you can see in examples above). The goal of my interface is both mental and physical related, so the eyes would fit it perfectly.
3: When walking the route, you'll find yourself looking and using your eyes find the artworks and I would like to have this element in my design
MEANING BEHIND THE EYES
After researching different types of interfaces and analyzing them, I've decided to combine two types of interfaces: The map and phone application. So the idea is to make a walking route and a digital map that the user can use to navigate through the city. The app will also give information about artworks that the user will come across and is accessible by interacting with the map.
POEMS ABOUT FIRST RESPONDERS
From my research of our usergroup (first responders) I've found poems written by first responders, for first responders. I found these poems from wattpadd. Click the box below to visit the website.
